Six Reasons Why My Wife Is an AWESOME Network Marketer

by Kevin on August 14, 2012

You may be asking yourself…”why should I read a post that is all about Kevin’s wife, Michelle?”  The reason is that I know my wife has gotten to be very good at what she does.  According to the income disclosure on her company’s website, she has achieved a level that just 5% of the consultants in her company reach or exceed.  Kudos to her because it has been no small task.

I really do not mean to brag on her (well, kind of).  She is able to offer some great examples of how to give oneself a fighting chance of building something great in this business.

She does an amazing job communicating to her team, but I doubt that she would brag on herself like this.  Please allow me because it is my duty as a supportive spouse.

As I have mentioned before, we all run our own race, and this is definitely not a get rich quick scheme.  So regardless if you are ahead of where my wife is at or in the 95% looking to get there (it is all good because everyone started somewhere), there are things on this list that you can probably relate to and likely some that you can either learn from or can help reiterate what you already know.

Here is why she is good at what she does.  If your spouse has qualities that make him or her great at network marketing, please tell us about them in the comments section below.

1.  She Cares

One thing that everyone in her upline, downline, sideline, customers, prospects, and anyone that comes in contact with her knows is that she cares.  She is able to demonstrate her caring that goes well beyond wanting to meet any results.

Truly, she wants to help others succeed whether succeeding in finding the right product for them (whether or not they buy from her) or succeeding at their goals in the business, and she is able to provide a great level of service to the people she comes in contact with.

2.  Desire to Learn and Get Better

Michelle is very coachable.  I doubt that that there are many people out there who work harder at learning more about how to be a good network marketer.  She is constantly listening to training programs and conference calls as reading the latest information to learn the business and her product.

What I really respect is that she goes out of her way to pass along what she learns to others whether or not they are directly on her team.  I am always amazed at how well she is able to pass the information along in a way that does not push anyone away and just helps them learn at their own pace.

3. Goal Setter

She sets goals and goes after them.  She understands that she needs to push herself out of her comfort zone with big goals while setting smaller, short term goals that build momentum along the way.  The best part is that she understands that she is running a marathon and not a sprint.

4.  Develops a Plan and Puts It Into ACTION

There are way too many people in this business that fall into he trap of waiting for the “right” time to come along to start taking action on their goals and dreams.  The sad reality is that “right” time never comes.  Michelle understands that the true right time is now and that she would lose valuable time without acting in the present.

5.  Persistence

She has some really good days.  She also has some really tough days.  As the saying goes “when the going gets tough, the tough get going.”  Michelle understands that some action against resistance is a lot better than no action without resistance.

Life is full of peaks and valleys, and the best way to get through the valleys is by focusing on the fact that we are from peak to peak as we go through life.

6.  Sees the Big Picture

As we go along this journey together, she is able to see the larger picture.  This journey is for the betterment of our family now and in the future.  Our business gives us the ability to dream big while developing ourselves into better people.

Just like in life, there is no guarantee that are business will continue grow as it has, but the bigger picture is that by growing ourselves and taking action on what we learn, we shift the odds more and more in our favor.  Unlike the lottery, this is not a game of chance.  This is success based on an ability to add value in its rawest form.  What bigger picture could we want than that?

My wife got me into this business, and I am grateful that she did.

As we like to joke, “I am humbled by my own greatness.” Ha! Truly, though, when you said I would like your next post, I had no idea this was the direction you are going. You are very sweet. And these nice words make me uncomfortable and feel good all at the same time. I am proud of both of us. My greatest passion has always been helping people and I am very glad this is a good portion of what I’m reflecting in the work I do. I get to help other people and be rewarded in a variety of ways all at the same time. I truly cannot think of a better scenario. Thank you for your support and edification!!
