It is hard to believe that the first month of this blog has come and gone.  If this is your first visit to the site, I would like to welcome you.  Please feel free to look around.  If you like the content and feel that you or someone you know can benefit, the biggest compliment you can give is to spread the message of the site or to sign up for the email list.  Not to worry, I will not spam your inbox or give out your information.

For those of you who have been here before, welcome back, and I cannot begin to tell you how much your support of this site means.  Based on the overwhelming outpouring of positive feedback, there are people out there who can benefit from the message that spousal support is a critical piece of the puzzle for success in direct selling.  That is what this site is all about.

My goal is to report back to you, the members and readers of this community, on details of how the site is doing.  This first of many monthly report outlines how things are going.

This is awesome!  My wife and her team had a great July.  She earned a promotion with her network marketing company.  According to the income disclosure on their website, her promotion puts her in the top 5% of their company’s consultants.  Great job Michelle!  I am very proud of you.

The biggest learning for me was the fact that starting a blog was so technically and emotionally challenging.  First off, it has been a lot of work.  Like network marketing, it requires a lot of work to setup a blog.  What might take an experienced person just a matter of minutes to take a domain name, add it to a web hosting service, and start a blog, actually took me days.

It was not easy, there was a realization that when starting a blog you are putting yourself out there to the world.  From an emotional standpoint, this realization actually caused a lot of fear that seeped in at times.  Fear that I would never get it up and running.  Fear that no one would read what I wrote.  Fear that people would not like what I had to say.  At times, it seemed easier to just not put this together.

In reality, all these fears were overdone and were just in my head.  With a little work (and a lot of Google-ing), I was able to figure out the technical standpoint of putting the blog up.  Believe it or not, once you figure out what you are doing, setting it up is not that hard.  I learned as I went.  This is another example of how it is better to take action than to wait for all information or the proverbial “right timing.”

Also going against my fears was the fact that people did visit the blog.  There has actually been a wonderful amount of positive feedback.  For this, I really do a debt of gratitude to you, as a reader of this blog, for taking the time to come to the blog.  It is my goal to continue to provide valuable content that you deserve and should come to expect.

The homepage has been the most visited page on the site.  This comes as no surprise because about a third of the visitors of the site came by typing in the address into their browser directly.  Outside of the homepage, here are the ten most visited pages on the site.

Opening Day

What Is Direct Selling and Is It For You and Your Spouse?

Traffic finished the month with 222 unique visitors.  If you are unfamiliar with the term, unique visitors are essentially the number of people who visited the site whether just one time during the month or several times.  This number comes from my Google Analytics account.

Admittedly, I felt like this was a small number at first.  With that said, every successful website has to start somewhere, just like a direct selling business.  To put this in perspective, one of my favorite blogs is  In the beginning Michael started with 110 average monthly unique visitors and built up to over 300,000 going from 2004 to today.

This is also not bad because it can take awhile before the major search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo index the site for when people search for subjects covered here.  Right now, the search engines have not really picked up the site, and the traffic is coming from social media and word of mouth.  THANK YOU!

If you know someone who can benefit from the message of this site, please pass this site along to them.  We all need a little support!

Reach of the Message

Thank you for helping spread the message of the site.  With the traffic that we have gotten, there is has been a really good reach.  The message of supporting your spouse in network marketing has been viewed in 8 countries and 33 states including the District of Columbia.

Not surprising, my home state of Florida leads that pack.   Here is the top ten.

Spreading the Message to Help Others
